We are happy to say that we’ll be back at Autodesk University this year with a preconference dedicated to the Autodesk Fabrication software and other software useful for mechanical contractors. Held on Monday 30th November, the MEP & Structural Fabricators Forum will build and improve on our first event held last year.
We are now accepting proposals for classes and we’d like to extend the invite to submit a proposal to everyone! If you are interested in being selected to present during the conference, please consider submitting a proposal here.
What are we looking for?
- Instructional Demos (60 minutes in length): A technical, lecture style class where you will share your experience and expertise in one or more of the Fabrication products, or products that integrate with the Fabrication products. We are looking for novice to advanced level classes on topics that your peers will find invaluable to learn from!
- Hands-On Labs (60 minutes in length): A technical lab class where attendees will follow you step-by-step on the class computers. You’ll use the class as a learning experience for one or more of the Fabrication products, or products that integrate with the Fabrication products. Again, novice to advanced classes are welcome to be submitted. For these, we are willing to accept a double back-to-back class for deeper topics you might have (i.e. you need 2-hours). If you want to do this, please submit two classes – Part 1 and Part 2.
- Industry Talks (60 minutes in length): A lecture style class that is focused on industry movements and business benefits of technology such as the Fabrication products or other Autodesk software. These are great classes to share learning from projects, on-ramping new technology, or business process changes that have taken place in your company.
When does Call for Proposals close?
May 26th, 2015. We’ll notify chosen speakers in late June.
Use the Call for Proposals link. The AU page has lots of great information on preparing your submission. Please note, to ensure your submission gets categorized properly, please select ‘Building Fabrication’ for the question ‘Does your class relate to any of the following topics?’
Please note, you are more than welcome to submit more than one presentation. We are looking for classes for the preconference and the full AU conference, so the more presentations we have to choose from the better.
If you have any questions, please let us know on here.
