Revit Extensions for Revit® Structure 2009 is now live and available in the Subscription Center!

Dear Revit Structure users,

I am very happy to announce that Revit Extensions for Revit® Structure 2009 is now live and available in the Subscription Center http://www.autodesk.com/subscription. For more information about each extension, please visit http://www.extensions4revit.com.

Once you click on the "Extensions for Revit® 2009 - Full Package", it will lead you to the overview download page. You can then download the Extensions package in there:

In the Revit Extensions for Revit® Structure 2009 full package, in addition of upgrading/improving all the previously available 16 extensions with full functionalities, it also includes 4 new additional extensions such as Reinforcement of Walls, Text Generator, Element Positioning, and Analysis Integration Enabler (CBS Pro).

Handling multiple information stored in one host object

In the current version, information can be saved in one object for several extensions. For example, a slab object can contain information on parameterization for reinforcement of several openings in the slab.

New Extensions

Reinforcement of Walls

The "Reinforcement of Walls" extension provides powerful facilities to generate reinforcements for structural walls. The module creates 3D "intelligent" rebar data in Revit Structure in a form appropriate for area reinforcement or with use of re-bars.

Text Generator

This extension enables the automatic generation of text notes in Revit Structure. The generation process is based on text inserted into the extension (from a file or directly from the keyboard) and settings defined by the user. The text can be divided according to separators or maximum size. The arrangement of newly created text notes is based on a table scheme. In addition, documents saved in Microsoft® Word format may be read directly.

Elements Positioning

This module creates position labels for selected elements in a Revit Structure project. The extension allows for:

• Collecting elements and dividing them into categories and types
• Sorting elements depending on their vertical and horizontal locations in projects
• Inserting a Mark parameter string with a user-specified position formula
• Adding tags that display the value of the Mark parameter on views selected by the user

Analysis Integration Enabler (CBS Pro)

The "Enabler" facilitates the powerful bi-directional integration of Revit Structure and CBS Pro functionality. Upon installation of the Enabler, you can dynamically import and export data between the two products.

Save reinforcement parameterization to an external file as a reinforcement template for future use. All reinforcement modules are enabled to take advantage of this feature.

Revit Structure 2008 Extensions website and download is LIVE again!

Dear Revit Structure users,

I am very happy to announce that the www.extensions4revit.com website is re-activated and LIVE again! Revit Extensions and Revit Structure teams are simplifying accessibility and offering greater value to subscription customers using Revit Structure by providing all previous Robobat Extensions for Revit, through the Autodesk Subscription Program.  On February 1st, 2008 all Revit Structure 2008 and AutoCAD Revit Structure Suite 2008 subscription customers will have access to all 16 extensions with full functionalities.

In the www.extensions4revit.com website, when user is trying to click to download the full package, it will direct you to http://www.autodesk.com/subscription, please refer to our January 27th, 2008 posting to see how to access to the Subscription Center. Worksharing Monitor and Batch Print Utility tools are now available in the Autodesk Subscription Center.

After several months of Beta testing by some Revit Architecture, Structure and MEP customers in My Feedback Portal website, the official release of Revit 2008 Worksharing Monitor and Batch Print Utility tools are now available in the Autodesk Subscription Center.

I would like to take this opportunity to guide you how to access to the Autodesk Subscription Center as I know that some users in the AUGI forum have asked this question several times.

1- Go to http://www.autodesk.com/subscription and click on "Log in to Subscription Center"

2- Enter your User ID and Password. Only company with Subscription can get access into the Subscription Center.

3- Once logged in, go to the middle of the page and you will see "Architecture, Engineering & Construction (AEC): Products Modules and &-Ons", press Click here

4- The following page is where you can download all the "COOL" stuffs. Depending on which Autodesk product(s) you've purchased and entitled, you may or may not see all the links below.

For Revit Structure user, currently you can download:

-Revit 2008 Worksharing Monitor (NEW)

-Revit 2008 Batch Print Utility (NEW)

P.S. Although those two tools are placed under Architectural Solutions, they can be installed in Revit Structure product without any problem.

Under the Structural Engineering Solutions, Revit Structure user can download:

-Revit Structure TrussWizard 

-Subscription Structural Library (We will try to upload new content from time to time (every couple of months) and we will announce it in AUGI and our blog)

-Extensions for Revit® - Full Package (COMING SOON, please be patient J)

IMPORTANT: Revit Architecture and MEP users won't be able to install Extensions for Revit® - Full Package and TrussWizard as those tools are developed for Revit Structure product only.

5- Once you click on one of the above tool. It will lead you to their individual download page with a brief overview. You can then download the Application and the ReadMe file.

Static analysis of slabs 1.0 - try basic version for FREE

The Static analysis of slabs extension allows performing static analysis of a slab defined in a Revit Structure model.

It enables loading necessary information from Revit Structure such as: slab geometry, constraints/supports, load cases, load combinations, loads. Results obtained for a defined slab model are displayed in the graphical (maps of a selected quantity) and tabular form.

Additionally, obtained results with data concerning the analyzed slab may be presented in the form of a report (in the HTML format); a report for a slab can be printed, saved to a file or sent to a MS Excel© or MS Word© document.

The base (free) version will be limited to 250 Finite Elements while the enchanced version is not limited in terms of FE.

New Revit Extension Reinforcement of pile caps

Reinforcement of pile caps extension 1.0 - try basic version for FREE

The Reinforcement of pile caps extension will provide powerful facilities to define reinforcement patterns for pile caps. The module will create 3D "intelligent" rebar data in Revit Structure.

The base (free) version will allow the user to define reinforcement for a pile cap of rectangular cross section, the enhanced version will incorporate additional cross section shapes.

New Revit Extension Reinforcement of Slab Openings

1) A New Extension - Reinforcement of slab openings has just been released!

The Reinforcement of slab openings extension provides powerful facilities to define reinforcement patterns for openings in slabs. 

The module creates 3D "intelligent" rebar data in Revit Structure.

The base (free) version allows the user to define reinforcement for rectangular openings definied within a concrete slab. 

The enhanced version incorporates additional opening positions, circular shapes and additional rebar configurations.

2) Together with the release of the new Extension RoboBAT has added new functions to already existing one - Reinforcement drawings for new elements types has just been released as well!

Reinforcement drawings 1.1 - totally FREE of charge

This Extension allows the user to generate 2D production drawings of typical reinforced concrete components.

The RC details are made with respect to a variety of national and code dependent regulations, with additional support for Imperial units available later in the year. The drawings are processed by Robobat's AutoCAD application RCAD Reinforcement or imported into Revit Structure in the form of a DWG file.

New Revit Extension Grid and Level Generator

A new Extension allowing for parameterized definition and generation of Cartesian and cylindrical grids sets in Revit projects.

In addition, columns and footings can be automatically generated at grid intersections, or can be aligned with grid lines in case of beams and walls structures.

Grid network can be parametrically edited an associated 3D model lines representing grid lines may be generated in 3D view.

Yesterday, our structural partner RoboBAT has officially released the updated version of the Extensions Engine and has made several improvements on all their existing Extensions.
