Win a Not for Resale copy of Autodesk® Robot™ Structural Analysis Professional 2009!

Attend one of the 3 Structural Analysis courses at AU and have the opportunity to win a not for resale version of our newest structural product, Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis Professional 2009!

There will be a raffle at the end of each class in which the winner will go home with a NFR copy of the software.

The three exciting classes you should attend are:

SE204-3 Drive your productivity with use of Revit Extensions for Revit Structure 2009

Learn how the extensions for Revit Structure offer immediate productivity tools for your projects and save you time during some modeling and documentation tasks.

SE318-2 Analysis and Design of Structures Using Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis 2009

Using practical examples, this session will demonstrate how to best use Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis 2009, both using its GUI and linking to and from Revit® Structure and Extensions for Revit.

SE500-1 Extend your BIM to Structural Analysis

Discover the power of Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis 2009. This is a companion session to SE318-2 and dives deeper into the Robot Structural Analysis products, including meshing, more advanced analysis, integration with Revit Structure and Extensions, plus an exploration of the product API and the integration of user applications.

ADAPT-Builder - integration link for Revit Structure is now available!

Revit Structure 2009 meets ADAPT-Builder.

The 3rd generation of the integration link is now available.

The bi-directional integration offers ease-of-use by directly transferring model information from Revit Structure to ADAPT and back at the basic physical model level.

Carry out your detailed slab and foundation system design using ADAPT's powerful 3D finite element analysis engines (ADAPT-Floor Pro and MAT) that automatically create analytical models from your imported Revit Structure model. Transfer potential geometry changes as well as reinforcement objects from ADAPT-Builder back into Revit Structure.

This saves hours in redundant model manipulation, data entry and dramatically reduces coordination errors.

CSI link to Revit Structure 2009 is now here!

Computers and Structures, Inc. is pleased to announce the release of CSIxRevit2009, a significantly enhanced link that allows for data exchange between ETABS® v9.5.0 and Revit® Structure 2009. CSIxRevit2009 now supports true round-tripping, specifically four different workflows of data interchange:

1) Exporting from Revit Structure to create a new ETABS model
2) Exporting from Revit Structure to update an existing ETABS model
3) Importing from ETABS to create a new Revit Structure model
4) Importing from ETABS to update an existing Revit Structure model

The CSIxRevit2009 link is a powerful integration tool, allowing you to maximize the capabilities of ETABS and Revit Structure 2009.

CSIxRevit2009 is only compatible with ETABS v9.5.0, and both require a new license.

SUM subscribers are eligible to receive the upgrade to ETABS v9.5.0 and CSIxRevit2009 free of charge. Non-SUM subscribers must purchase an upgrade to ETABS v9.5.0 to use CSIxRevit2009.

Using ProDESK to Unlock the Potential of BIM

For as long as software has existed, there has been a need to transfer information

between various systems. PROKON Structural Analysis, for example, has for many years

included the ability to work with CAD drawings and documents of various formats. More

recently, the need for collaboration and information sharing amongst design professionals

has advanced to a higher level – Building Information Modelling (BIM).

Problem between Revit Structure 2008 and ETABS

Dear RST users,

In the last couple of days, CSI has informed our RST Product Team that when trying to send a RST2008 .rvt model to ETABS 9.1.5 several of their customers have encountered an error message saying: "Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often the indication that other memory is corrupt" .

Me too, I am able to reproduce this issue on my machine and I have already reported this problem to our Revit Development team. Several of our developers are currently investigating and working on this issue.

Once I get any comments from our development, I will let everyone know, so stay tune.

Best Regards,

Wai Chu
