The Autodesk Structural team in France has announced the availability of a new Blog focussed on Building Information Modeling (BIM) for Structural Engineering. This site will provide our French speaking customers an area to read more about the power of Autodesk Revit Structure, Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis and AutoCAD Structural Detailling.
The authors for this blog are are Alexandre Mihalache, Olivier Bayle, Stéphane Balmain and Emmanuel Lagardette
You can check out the new blogsite by clicking here! Structure BIM

A new White Paper is now available titled "Exploiting Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis Professional API for Structural Optimization". This outstanding paper was written for us by Al Fisher and Shrikant Sharma of the SMART Solutions group at Buro Happold Ltd.
White Paper Summary
This paper introduced the capabilities of Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis Professional and the Robot Structural Analysis Professional API, and their exploitation to help automate analysis and to develop tools for design optimization. It highlights the concepts of analysis automation, design optimization, rationalization, and standardization, demonstrated using Robot API–based examples, while illustrating how these can help streamline workflow and design efficiency.
We've published a new video that demonstrates how the Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis Spreadsheet Calculator
tool allows users to link new or existing spreadsheets directly and dynamically
to Robot Structural Analysis Professional models. Many aspects of the analysis
model can be extracted to the spreadsheet including data about sections, member
sizes and an array of analysis results - allowing users, for example, to “plug in”
their own design code check spreadsheets to real time Robot results.
Because the video is fairly long we have split it into part 1 and part 2 which can be accessed on YouTube at the following locations:
The Autodesk Structural Engineering product teams are pleased to announce that individual feature videos are now available that provide an overview of "What's New" in the 2011 releases of Autodesk Revit Structure, Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis Professional and AutoCAD Structural Detailing. These videos are available on the Autodesk Building YouTube Channel which you can access at:
