Greater control over the analytical model in Autodesk Revit 2013

Analytical floors, analytical foundation slabs, and analytical walls now have corner analytical nodes in Analytical Edit mode. If you select the analytical model of floors or foundation slabs, you will see controls posted at all corners and edges which allow direct manipulation of the analytical model. You may select individual edges by using the Tab key while hovering over an edge. Pressing the spacebar will cycle through edge local and global drag widget arrow orientations.

Identification of beginnings and ends of the analytical elements in Revit

In Revit Structure users can identify ends (beginning, end) of linear elements to more easily define boundary conditions for these elements. It is possible to turn on color coding of analytical model end segments to help identify those ends.
In the Object Styles dialog you can specify different colors, line weights, or patterns for the beginning and end analytical model segments of columns, beams, or braces.

• Open the Structural Settings dialog box on the Analytical Model Settings.

• Check the Differentiate ends of linear analytical elements option.
