We've published a new video that demonstrates how the Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis Spreadsheet Calculator tool allows users to link new or existing spreadsheets directly and dynamically to Robot Structural Analysis Professional models. Many aspects of the analysis model can be extracted to the spreadsheet including data about sections, member sizes and an array of analysis results - allowing users, for example, to “plug in” their own design code check spreadsheets to real time Robot results.
Because the video is fairly long we have split it into part 1 and part 2 which can be accessed on YouTube at the following locations:
Part 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jo6N6XyRZ_M
Part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cjxVZrapj_E

I stumbled across this spreadsheet calculator a couple of months ago. It's great to see it getting wider exposure now. In the short time we have been using it we have linked several of our in house concrete design spreadsheets (for water retaining structures design) to Robot results and re-use these spreadsheets across different projects.

Great article, I think you covered everything there. . . I would say freelancing is quite hard especially if you are not used to working on your own, can be quite hard to motivate yourself also. . . we all know what it is like to stare at the monitor.
