After the first week of the offical launch of our new 2011 release products, our product team got several emails and discussion forum comments from some customers asking where is the AutoCAD 2011 for AutoCAD Revit Structure Suite 2011 bundle as they couldn't find the regular vanilla AutoCAD 2011 download in the Subscription Center and it isn't included in the shipping package.
For this new 2011 release, our product team has decided not to include the regular vanilla AutoCAD 2011 media in the new AutoCAD Revit Structure Suite 2011 bundle, because after the installation of AutoCAD Structural Detailing 2011 software, it will automatically generate 2 icons/shortcuts/profiles on your desktop:
- One icon/shortcut/profile will be for the regular vanilla AutoCAD 2011 (32-bits or 64-bits depending on your O/S of your computer)
- One icon/shortcut/profile will be for the AutoCAD Structural Detailing 2011 (32-bits or 64-bits depending on your O/S of your computer)
P.S. The icon of AutoCAD Structural Detailing contains 2 small letters "SD"
This is the main reason why our product team feels that it is not really necessary (or even redundant) to include the regular vanilla AutoCAD 2011 media into our AutoCAD Revit Structure Suite 2011 bundle for this year as users will have ACAD automatically anyway.
