Hello, William – I think you’ve got the correct file. This extension was made available as part of the “Revit Extensions for Autodesk Revit Structure 2010” batch we posted on 4/16/2009. Check it out…if you don’t see it, please email me at alexandra.arnold@autodesk.com.

Is there anyway to get this extension to work with Revit Architecture?!?! I'd LOVE to be able to have a more powerful selection / filter tool!

Alexandra Arnold

Jason: I think you are in luck! Elements Positioning is listed as available within the “Revit Extensions for Autodesk Revit Architecture 2010” package on the subscription center…

Doens this means that the extension mentioned here in this thread is the same version as the one available in the "Revit Extensions for Autodesk Revit Structure 2010" posted 4/16/2009. OR is this a newer version and I have to download the whole extenstion pack again to get the newer version?

HI all,

Sorry for the confusion. I just ask inhouse and this one is indeed the one posted on 4/16/2009. There fore no need to download the whole package again.

I just rename this thread title so that it is more clear now.

I am trying the Element positioning extension and I have more than 100 columns and it seems that the max allowable number is 100.

Wai Chu

Hi our inhouse did a quick test and and we are able to tag 200 columns. I was told that there shouldn't be any limitation.

May I suggest you to send your data and file to the Extension support team (robobat.support@autodesk.com) to take a quick look?

You can define the syntax for each tag position name to include a tag number to display a number by set of objects with identical type and features or by each element.
