This is time again the release of the Revit Extensions. This time is a little bit different as we release only one Extension that focuses on bridge modeling in Revit Structure. Also all of the Revit Extensions for Revit Architecture, MEP and Structure are now localized in Japanese and Russian in addition to the previous languages
Given the increasing demand of our subscription customers for bridge modeling tools inside Revit Structure, we also made available a bridge toolkit. The Bridge Toolkit for Revit® Structure 2009 software provides information, tools, content, and datasets that will better enable our users (engineers and drafters) to address infrastructure build-out as it relates to bridges.
This toolkit is our first step to address bridge design and the scope of what can be achieved will be presented in a form of webcast on January 27th. Click to the banner below to register to the webcast
We worked with our existing customers currently designing bridges in Revit Structure and we documented their methodologies in order to scale the best practices to other users. These methodologies as well as tips and tricks are part of the toolkit. Here are some bridge examples:

In addition to the methodologies, we also developed some bridge specific families for Piers, box girders, piles, abutments and deck and here are some examples:
The new bridge modeling Extension is a tool that automates the positioning of this new content. This Extension is composed of 5 steps described below:
Et Voila!!!
These Extensions plus all of the others are available in English, French, Italian, Polish, German and Chinese and you can learn more about them at http://www.extensions4revit.com/
If you design bridges, you may also be designing retaining walls and we also released 3 months ago an Extension for automatic reinforcement of retaining walls

Enjoy these new tools and get even more productive!
