In my newsletter "Ed's Independent Voice" http://www.hegra.org/EDS%20Independent%20voice%20Jan%202008.html I mention the "BIM Schism" between the designers and the contractors. The Bim schism is less pronounced with the Structural Engineers, but there still exists, the legal problem of having the contractor trust the model if it is not a Design/Build project.
